Actuarial Model Developer

We are looking for a Prophet Model Developer to join our Actuarial Model Development Team in Bratislava. Our team focuses on developing and optimizing Prophet cash-flow models across the Zurich Insurance Group, offering exposure to a variety of challenging and impactful projects.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience in Prophet development and is looking to further deepen their expertise in a dynamic, global environment. At the same time, we are also open to motivated fresh graduates with a strong background in mathematics or actuarial science who are eager to build their skills in Prophet and actuarial modelling.

The level of the role and corresponding salary will reflect the candidate’s experience and expertise.

Your role

As an Actuarial Model Developer, your main responsibilities will involve:

• Developing optimizing and maintaining actuarial projection models in Life insurance.
• Developing supporting applications that provide data to the actuarial projection models.
• Automating and optimizing reporting processes across different business units.

Your Skills and Experience

As an Actuarial Model Developer, your skills and experience will ideally include:

• At least 2 years of practical experience in modeling and analytics in a similar field
• University degree in actuarial science, finance, statistics, mathematics, or similar
• Communication skills, fluent in English
• Creative, open-minded, and proactive approach
• Experience with programming in any language is an advantage
• Experience with the actuarial software Prophet Professional is an advantage 

We offer

Compensation for roles at Zurich depends on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific role, skill set, level of experience, and subject to applicable law. Zurich thus provides a range of compensation aligned to internal job architecture and market benchmarks to ensure fair and consistent pay for comparable roles.

The starting base salary range for this position is 1930 EUR to 2900 EUR / Gross.
